The lightbulb moment

Peter our CEO, first had the idea whilst He was attending university. he was becoming fed up with his fellow house mates constantly stealing his food and required a solution.

Development begins

Development began and Pete created the first prototypes of his idea. He then began to ponder and plan a unique proposition for the lockable storage market.

The big meeting

Pete was able to secure a meeting with John Lewis to pitch Lockabox, a very nervous young entrepreneur secured his first big contract!

Going Global

Lockabox One launched on Amazon UK. This was a significant turning point for the business. We quickly became a frequent #1 best seller and began exporting to Germany, France, Italy & Spain

Pre-Assembled

A big year as Lockabox One went from being self-assembly to being a ready-to-use product. Consequentially we were able to provide volumes for professional and trade markets.

Becoming Noticed

Our new and improved Lockabox began to generate significant attention and sales from big organisations. This included the likes of the NHS, Royal Mail, Ocado, Cancer Research UK, HMIC, PWC and Anchor Health Care.

New products

At this point in time we were selling globally and we released a new variation of the Lockabox One, The Lockabox One Medi Blue. This helped develop new interest from the healthcare industry.

Business as usual

Despite global restrictions the team adapted to their new work from home environment. At the same time Lockabox expanded into new territories and earned approval for the NHS supply chain.

Expanding the team

The team doubled in size, Expanded our Headquarters and operations in Devon as well as offering free shipping to the UK, AU, US & EU.

Growth, resilience, and creativity

We strengthened our team culture through wellness initiatives, launched upgraded shelf pack designs and the Azalea limited edition, and navigated rising costs with resilience — all while maintaining our commitment to quality, innovation, and standout products.

Expansion and innovation

We surpassed 250,000 units sold worldwide, expanded into the UAE market, launched the Medi Green edition, and continued extensive R&D — all reflecting our commitment to innovation, style, and global growth.

Viral launch and new innovations

We introduced the Lockabox Mini, a compact and versatile addition to our range, achieving viral success with launch content that reached millions of views and significantly boosted brand awareness.

Expansion and collaboration

We participated in multiple trade shows to strengthen our industry presence, while expanding UK production through a second manufacturing partner to increase capacity and flexibility.

Milestone achieved and looking ahead
