When we started this business of ours, we did it because we knew there was a need for our product. We believed strongly that our lockable container was the answer to a multitude of problems for many people, whether it was those who have to share fridge space or someone who needs to keep their personal things, for their own personal use, we knew that our lockable box was the solution.
The Lockabox is so much more than a plastic storage box, we often look at our lockable fridge safe and sigh with pleasure at its beauty and simplicity. The recent launch of a new colour range for our lockable storage has given us such a thrill and we are full of pride for our company and our innovation. Last week we took the opportunity of the Spring Fair at the NEC Birmingham to reveal our food grade lockable storage box in all its glory and we are delighted with the results. We worked hard to ensure we brought the multi-use lock box to the attention of as many influential people as possible, as a consequence we came back to our office in Devon with a book full of mouthwatering sales leads. We are excited by potential collaborations and although we can’t reveal the details just yet, we have a major supermarket reviewing the portable, lockable storage solution with a view to placing it within its stores in March.
If you watch Dragons Den then Theo Paphitis, the retail magnet and entrepreneur, will be familiar to you. Amongst other things, Theo owns the hardware retail outlet Robert Dyas, through his team of buyers he has seen, and reviewed the Lockabox, and loved it! He liked it so much he wanted one each for his two daughters. We don’t know what it is they want to keep safe, but the combination code lock will guarantee they don’t need to share their things with each other, or anyone else for that matter.
The Made in Britain Campaign is hugely important in terms of supporting and promoting British manufacturing, we are incredibly proud that our product is made in Britain, and to be a member of such an important campaign. During a recent visit to 10 Downing Street, John Pearce the CEO of Made In Britain, hand delivered David Cameron one of our lockable storage boxes. We were wondering what he’s going to use it for? Maybe to keep his lunch safe in the shared fridge at the Houses of Parliament. Perhaps he’ll pass it on to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and he can use it to protect the details of the next budget instead of the red briefcase – did we mention our locking storage box has multiple uses?
It’s only February and 2016 is already looking like an amazing year for the Lockabox team; recognition from important and influential businesses and their leaders, David Cameron keeping his goodies safe in one of our fridge lockers, a potential deal with a well-known supermarket chain, and our new association with global brand builders Funtastic.
Our seatbelts are fastened securely and we’re ready for take-off!
